We do accept medical supplies from hospitals looking to get rid of old materials, including surgical equipment or thing like ophthalmoscopes, etc. If you really want to give something then please contact us here. Currently, we are not set up to receive medical donations as tax-deductible items from hospitals or individuals, so it would be a donation of good will for either old medical equipment or something in fair condition but just now considered obsolete. We cannot do medication donations at this time as there is special restrictions (even during disasters) of the country's we work in. As a way of saying thanks, whatever country we get to where we use it, we will send a picture of the local clinicians with the equipment you donated when we get there (we attach email labels and names of whatever physical donation items we get).
An updated list of what we could use is below: -portable ultrasound machines, portable EKG machines, blood pressure monitors -otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, microscopes, stethoscopes, reflex hammers, fetoscopes -ambu bags, pocket masks, pulse oximeters, small dentistry equipment, heme-occult kits complete -surgical gowns, gloves, booties, drains, masks, instruments, caps, goggles, defibrillators, cardiac monitors -dressing changes, burn dressing, ACE wraps, sterile gloves, splints, slings, OBGYN supplies, urinary catheters -IV drip sets (not actual pre-filled salines or meds), transfusion items, macro and microdrip sets, stopcocks -bandages, blood pressure cuffs, suturing materials including absorbable sutures, suction catheters and equipment -chest tube kits, central line packages, pneumothorax decompression kits, endotracheal tubes, laryngoscopes and stylets-blood glucose monitors with entire contents (lancets, quality control tests, etc), thermometers
